Project Highlights

China State - China Rail Joint Venture is driving twin road tunnels at Sha Tin Heights, Hong Kong for the Highways Department of the Government of Hong Kong S.A.R.

The driven dual three lane road tunnels are approximately 1 kilometer long, 18 metres wide with a 26 metre arch. The cut and cover tunnels and portals are 100 metres long, 18 metres wide and 11.5 metres high.

Sha Tin Heights Tunnel Approach is a 0.6 kilometer dual two-lane tunnel approach road in Tai Wai. They form an integral part of Route 8 from Chek Lap Kok Airport to Sha Tin in Hong Kong northeast New Territories.

The Company provided the traveling gantries, supervision and specialist support for the supply and application of the tunnel waterproof linings and associated works.
